Creating a profile, applying to become a Tutor / Partner and setting up your service and availability calendar are all completely free. On uBitto, Tutors set their own rates appropriate to the Tutor's local environment, experience and background, plus the time and effort spent preparing for sessions. When a learner pays for a lesson, uBitto takes a commission or fee based on the Tutor's listed price. We don't take any money until you are making money.
uBitto commission
uBitto charges a 20% fee on transactions between Tutor and learners. This fee is charged when a lesson is confirmed.
Why does uBitto charge a commission?
This straightforward fee is charged to sustain the maintenance of uBitto's platform and services, such as scheduling across time zones through our booking system, handling of international payments as well as sales and marketing costs of bringing awareness and new learners to the platform.
uBitto staff are also available to answer questions regarding the usage of the platform and to help you manage your sessions and learners. Since uBitto only takes a fee for completed sessions, you will only be charged when you're making money teaching on uBitto.
