Minimum Requirements for Applicants
Professional Teacher
- 18+ years old
- Teaching Qualification (e.g. Teaching Licence, PGCE, DELTA, CELTA, TEFL etc).
- 1 – 3 minute Introduction Video
- CV
- Priority is given to applicants who have Education, Cultural, Linguistics, Language or specialized background (e.g. Asian Studies, Speech Therapy etc).
- Native or fluent in your teaching language(s)
- You are required to upload copies of all your relevant documents (for CV, References and Employment Statements upload them under Certificates)
Community Tutor
- 18+ years old
- 1 – 3 minute introduction video
- Native or fluent in your teaching language(s)
Difference between Community and Professional Practice Buddy
Community Practice Buddy
- Community Practice Buddies are fluent or native speakers who want to make new friends and help foreigners practise their native language through daily conversations.
- To be a community practice buddy, you must be a native speaker of the language or are fluent like a native.
Professional Practice Buddy
- Professional Practice Budies have training as educators and/or extensive professional teaching experience. They can provide learners with resources, prepared materials, and structured lesson plans to help students reach their goals. However, the gist of the service is still to help learners practise through conversations.
